Signs and Symptoms of Type 1 Diabetes
Type 1 diabetes is a condition in which our pancreas does not produce insulin, the hormon our body needs to maintains proper blood sugar levels . Insulin is acting like a key that open cells so the glucose, we have eaten by food with carbohydrates can enter the cells.
So the glucose levels in our blood get higher and higher and that is resulting a condition called : hyperglycemia. Common symptoms of hyperglycemia , or symptoms of Type 1 diabetes are :
- Excessive hunger
- Excessive thirst
- Frequent urination
- Weight loss
- Fatigue ( Tiredness )
- Blurred vision
- Slow healing wounds
Type 1 diabetes has been also called: juvenile diabetes, because it is common for younger people. People with type 1 diabetes need insulin shoots right from the beginning.
